Privacy Policy.

Last updated October 15, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how TuQuant (“TuQuant”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in the State of Delaware, United States, collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit tuquant.si, request a demo, apply for a job, use the chat assistant or otherwise contact us. It is written for visitors in the United States, including residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws. Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) applies to you, the GDPR-specific points in this policy also apply.

This policy covers our website and business contacts. Personal information that our customers process inside TuQuant products is governed by the agreement and data processing terms we sign with that customer, under which the customer decides how that information is used.

1. Who is responsible for your information

TuQuant is the business (under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, together the “CCPA”) and the data controller (under the GDPR) for the personal information described in this policy.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Demo and contact requests: your name, work email, company, country, phone number (optional), the product you are interested in, your deployment preference, the message you write, and your browser’s time zone (so we can reply at a sensible time).
  • Job applications: your name, email, phone number (optional), LinkedIn or portfolio link, résumé and anything else you choose to send us through a job application form or by email.
  • Correspondence: the content of emails and other messages you send us.
  • “Ask TuQuant” chat: the messages you type into the chat assistant, along with the conversation so far. Please don’t enter personal or confidential information in the chat.

Information collected automatically

  • Server and security logs: our hosting and content delivery provider records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of each request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Region settings: to pre-select your country and show local times, the site reads your browser’s language and time-zone settings on your own device. This is not sent to us unless you submit the contact form.
  • Theme preference: the site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
  • Maps: the office map on our contact page is loaded from OpenStreetMap, so your browser sends your IP address to OpenStreetMap when that page loads.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not use third-party tracking pixels. Our fonts are served from our own site. We do not ask for sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, financial account details, health or biometric information) through this website. Please do not send it to us.

3. How we use it

  • Responding to demo and contact requests, and arranging and following up on demos.
  • Assessing job applications.
  • Answering your questions in the chat assistant.
  • Running and securing the website, including preventing spam and abuse.
  • Meeting legal obligations, such as responding to lawful requests from authorities.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent (forms and chat), our legitimate interests (running and securing the site) and legal obligation as our lawful bases. We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, under contracts that limit how they may use it:

  • Website hosting, CDN and email: Hostinger, which also receives and stores contact-form and job-application submissions (including attached résumés) and delivers them to our inbox.
  • Chat assistant: our own AI model, which runs on servers at Google Cloud (India and Singapore) operated for us by an affiliated company, Hibilter IT Systems Pvt. Ltd., under a data processing agreement. Chat messages are not sent to any third-party AI provider.
  • Maps: OpenStreetMap (contact page only).

We may also disclose personal information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

5. International transfers

We are based in the United States. Some of our service providers store or process information outside the United States, including in India and Singapore. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

6. How long we keep it

  • Demo and contact requests: up to 24 months after our last interaction, unless we enter into a business relationship.
  • Job applications: up to 12 months after the role is filled, unless you ask us to delete your application sooner or agree to let us keep it longer.
  • Chat messages: processed only to generate a reply and not stored.
  • Server logs: according to our hosting provider’s retention settings, typically no more than 90 days.

We may keep information longer where the law requires it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

7. How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards proportionate to the information we hold, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and restricted staff access. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

8. Your privacy rights

California residents

Under the CCPA you have the right to:

  • know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes and the categories of recipients;
  • delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share it);
  • limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it through this website); and
  • not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, for the purposes in section 3 and from you or your device: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); professional or employment-related information (company, résumé and application details); internet or network activity (server logs); and general location derived from the country and time zone you provide.

Residents of other US states

If you live in a state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Utah or Virginia), you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of your personal information and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale or profiling. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising or profiling. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; we will respond within the time your state’s law requires.

EU and UK residents

If the GDPR applies to you, you also have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

How to exercise your rights

Email contact@tuquant.si with the subject “Privacy request”. We will verify your identity by matching information you provide with information we hold, and we will respond within the time the law requires (for California, we confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days). You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for signed permission and ask you to verify your identity directly.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track: because we do not sell or share personal information or track you across sites, there is nothing for these signals to switch off; we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request where the law requires it.

9. Children

This website is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as defined by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Links to other sites

Our website links to third-party sites, such as OpenStreetMap. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If we make material changes, we will highlight them on this page.
